Project Overview
Lithic Industries delivered advanced T-PRO® polymer soil stabilization and fugitive dust control on a high-traffic unpaved haul road located directly adjacent to residential property. Using a proven topical polymer seal coat combined with in-situ reclamation techniques, the project successfully suppressed dust emissions while significantly improving road performance and ride quality for heavy construction equipment.

Project Objectives
The primary goal was to reduce fugitive dust emissions impacting neighboring homes while enhancing overall haul road performance through in-situ stabilization. The existing gravel surface had become loose and dusty due to large surface particles and non-plastic fines migrating upward under heavy traffic.

The Challenge
Heavy equipment traffic on the untreated haul road continually generated significant airborne dust and surface degradation. Traditional methods were insufficient to lock down fines or provide long-term stability on this unpaved road near sensitive residential areas.

The Polymer Soil Stabilization Solution
Lithic Industries applied a targeted T-PRO® polymer soil stabilization approach using the existing in-situ materials. The road was first graded to blend fines and incorporate larger material into the sub-base. The surface was moisture-conditioned and fully re-compacted using an 84” single-drum vibratory roller. A topical polymer seal coat was then applied, locking in migrating fines and creating a harder, smoother wearing surface.
