Lithic Industries successfully constructed a durable helicopter landing pad in Spain, using T-PRO® polymer soil stabilization technology. The project converted decomposed granite and native in-situ soils into a tough, abrasion-resistant wear course engineered to withstand intense rotor wash, wind erosion, and repeated helicopter operations.
Lithic Industries implemented a heavy infused polymer application that milled and blended the existing decomposed granite and in-situ soil with T-PRO® polymer. The homogeneous mixture was compacted in place, followed by a pressurized topical seal coat. This created a strong, bonded wear course with excellent particle interlocking between coarse and fine materials — delivering high durability under extreme aviation conditions.

Minimal and cost-effective:
The T-PRO® helicopter landing pad continues to demonstrate outstanding long-term performance under real-world aviation demands. By stabilizing native soils into a robust wear course, the solution provides a reliable, low-maintenance alternative to traditional imported materials or concrete — ideal for remote, forward-operating, or expeditionary environments.
This project highlights the effectiveness of T-PRO® polymer technology for defense, emergency response, and critical aviation infrastructure where rapid deployment, durability, and reduced logistics are essential.
Lithic Industries delivers field-proven polymer stabilization solutions trusted for the most demanding military, governmental, and aviation applications worldwide.
