Project Overview Lithic Industries engineered a 150,000 ft² unpaved parking lot using advanced T-PRO® polymer soil stabilization for a cart track facility in, Spain. The project delivered a durable, cost-effective parking surface as a high-performance alternative to traditional asphalt or concrete paving.

Project Objectives The client required a strong, long-lasting parking area capable of handling regular vehicle traffic while remaining within budget. Asphalt and concrete systems were financially unfeasible given the size of the project. Polymer soil stabilization was selected as the practical solution that met both performance and cost requirements.

The Challenge Building a large parking area with conventional paving methods would have been prohibitively expensive. The site needed a stable, dust-resistant surface that could support regular vehicle use without the high material and installation costs of asphalt or concrete.

The Polymer Soil Stabilization Solution Lithic Industries constructed the parking lot using a 6-inch deep infused polymer application at 1.0% polymer concentration by total weight of material treated. Native on-site soil was blended with T-PRO® polymer using a milling machine to create a homogeneous mixture. The surface was finished with smooth drum and vibrating pneumatic rollers, followed by a topical polymer seal coat.

Maintenance Requirements Maintenance is simple and economical:

  • Remove any loose material from the surface as needed
  • Apply a light topical re-coat of polymer seal coat at 110–120 ft² per gallon
