The project focused on creating a durable, dust-controlled surface capable of supporting repeated heavy military aircraft landings in demanding conditions. Project Objectives The primary goal was to provide a stable, low-maintenance landing strip that could withstand heavy C-130 traffic while minimizing dust generation and maintenance requirements in a remote location. The Challenge Unstabilized soil in remote military environments quickly degrades under heavy aircraft loads, creating dust and FOD (foreign object debris) hazards that compromise safety and operational readiness. The Polymer Soil Stabilization Solution Lithic Industries applied a targeted T-PRO® polymer soil stabilization program using in-situ materials. The surface was graded, moisture-conditioned, and treated with a topical polymer seal coat to create a strong, dust-resistant wearing course.
